im still thinking about his words, and theyve changed the weeds in the garden. im spending more time with my family and friends and less time in committee meetings. whenever possible, life should be a pattern of experience to savour, not endure. im trying to recognize these moment now and cherish them.

im not saving anything; we use our good china and crystal for every special. event such as losing a pound, getting the sink unstopped, the first camellia blossom… i wear my good blazer to the market if i feel like it. my theory is if i look prosperous, i can shell out $28. 49 for one small bag of groceries without wincing. im not saving my good perfume for special parties s; clerks in hardware stores and tellers in banks have noses that function as well as my party going friends.

someday and one of these days are losing their grip on my vocabulary. if its worth seeing or hearing or doing, i want to see and hear and do it now. im not sure what my sister wouldve done had she know that she wouldnt be here for the tomorrow we all take for granted.

i think she would have called family members and a few close friends. she might have called a few former friends to apologize, and mend fences for past squabbles. i like to think she would have gone out for a chinese dinner, her favorite food. im guessing. ill never know.

its those little things left undone that would make me angry if i knew that my hours were limited. angry because i put off seeing good friends whom i was going to get in touch with someday. angry because i hadnt written certain letters that i intended to write one of these days. angry and sorry that i didnt tell my husband and daughter often enough how much i truly love them.

im trying very hard not to put off, hold back, or save anything that would add laughter and luster to our lives. and every morning when i open my eyes, i tell myself that every day, every minute, every breath truly, is... a gift from god.

Jeff: Yeah, Todd, that's a good point, but I think it's inevitable that they're going to go anyway, so you can take them and take them on a very low impact tour, where it doesn't disturb the country so much or you can let them go with a big organization that sort of takes them through a country so it's like a zoo, where there's no interaction and they're sort of looking, looking through a window so I think if I take them it will be less destructive to the culture.

Todd: OK, well, so there are a lot of tour companies out there, so if you had a tour company what would you do differently? Like how would your tour company be different than the others?

Jeff: I think I would try to use a lot of local people in the service so instead of bringing people over with you and having them do everything, I'd sort of bring a lot amount of employees over and let the locals do everything. Let the locals guide, let the locals drive, try to include the locals as much as possible and it would be a better experience for the tourist as well.

Todd: So, I think you mentioned that you'd like to have your company for India. What is it about India? Why would you want to have a tour company there?

Jeff: Many people don't like India because it's dirty, noisy. It's smelly, hot. It's special place and I think you sort of lose a bit of your the social greed or possessional habits that you have, that you don't even notice you have them, that you acquire them when you living in the West and when you go to India they're stripped away. So I think it's just a special place and it's cheap and it's exotic and it's interesting and Indian people are beautiful people, really fun to be around.

今天，我們舉行“中華魂”（中華美德頌）主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)表彰大會(huì)暨XX年“中華魂”（放飛夢(mèng)想）主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)動(dòng)員大會(huì)。首先我代表xx區(qū)關(guān)工委對(duì)區(qū)委、區(qū)政府對(duì)關(guān)工委工作的關(guān)心和支持表示衷心的感謝！對(duì)榮獲XX年“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的先進(jìn)單位和先進(jìn)個(gè)人表示熱烈的祝賀！對(duì)長(zhǎng)期關(guān)心和支持關(guān)心下一代工作的各位領(lǐng)導(dǎo)和同志們表示真誠(chéng)的謝意！借此機(jī)會(huì)，我向各位報(bào)告我區(qū)開(kāi)展“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的有關(guān)工作。

一、XX年全區(qū)“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)開(kāi)展情況

XX年，全區(qū)“中華魂”（中華美德頌）主題教育活動(dòng)在區(qū)委、區(qū)政府的關(guān)心和大力支持下，在區(qū)關(guān)工委的統(tǒng)一組織協(xié)調(diào)下，在教育行政主管部門(mén)積極努力和有關(guān)單位的密切配合下，參與讀書(shū)的青少年越來(lái)越多，覆蓋面越來(lái)越大，活動(dòng)方式豐富多彩，育人效果愈發(fā)凸顯，各方面都取得了新的成績(jī)。

（一）各級(jí)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)更加重視。

我區(qū)各級(jí)黨政主要領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，特別是分管領(lǐng)導(dǎo)非常重視“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)，把這項(xiàng)活動(dòng)作為培育和踐行社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀、加強(qiáng)青少年思想道德建設(shè)的一項(xiàng)重要工程來(lái)抓。一是及時(shí)安排部署。年初，區(qū)關(guān)工委、教育局聯(lián)合下發(fā)了《“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)安排意見(jiàn)》，對(duì)“中華魂”（中華美德頌）主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)作了具體安排部署。各級(jí)關(guān)工委結(jié)合實(shí)際情況，做到了明確分工，責(zé)任到人，各司其職，各負(fù)其責(zé)。二是開(kāi)展了讀書(shū)活動(dòng)捐贈(zèng)儀式活動(dòng)。XX年4月16日舉行了澗西區(qū)“中華魂”主題教育（中華美德頌）讀書(shū)活動(dòng)捐贈(zèng)儀式，區(qū)教育局、財(cái)政局、民政局、司法局、區(qū)殘聯(lián)等單位向全區(qū)xx所學(xué)校捐贈(zèng)了《中華美德頌》讀本xxx余冊(cè)。特別是教育局領(lǐng)導(dǎo)高度重視學(xué)生讀書(shū)活動(dòng)，拿出2.5萬(wàn)元為孩子們購(gòu)書(shū)，去年全區(qū)總購(gòu)書(shū)量超過(guò)1萬(wàn)冊(cè)。三是嚴(yán)密組織讀書(shū)活動(dòng)。各學(xué)校，各社區(qū)，“五老”隊(duì)伍和學(xué)生家長(zhǎng)，將“中華魂”（中華美德頌）主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)作為對(duì)青少年進(jìn)行思想道德教育的重要載體，各單位把讀書(shū)活動(dòng)列入了責(zé)任目標(biāo)，使我區(qū)“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)參加率和規(guī)定讀書(shū)內(nèi)容落實(shí)率達(dá)到xx%以上。XX年參加學(xué)校“中華魂”主題教育（中華美德頌）學(xué)生人數(shù)近2.5萬(wàn)人次，參加演講比賽和征文比賽的學(xué)生1萬(wàn)余人。

（二）讀書(shū)活動(dòng)效果明顯

對(duì)青少年進(jìn)行“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)，是社會(huì)、學(xué)校和家庭的共同任務(wù)。教育局和各辦事處，各學(xué)校、各社區(qū)關(guān)工委將此作為對(duì)青少年進(jìn)行社會(huì)教育的基本任務(wù)；各家庭將此看作是對(duì)孩子進(jìn)行道德教育的重要載體；教育局和各辦事處關(guān)工委以主要精力抓了學(xué)校、家庭、社區(qū)協(xié)調(diào)；各學(xué)校將“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)列入重要議題，認(rèn)真抓了學(xué)生讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的具體落實(shí)工作；各社區(qū)關(guān)工委利用“學(xué)雷鋒、心向黨、見(jiàn)行動(dòng)、爭(zhēng)當(dāng)金色青少年”“道德銀行”“四點(diǎn)半校外教育”和“學(xué)校放假，社區(qū)開(kāi)學(xué)”的平臺(tái)，認(rèn)真開(kāi)展了“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)，并與創(chuàng)建“三無(wú)兩有一關(guān)愛(ài)”先進(jìn)社區(qū)緊密結(jié)合起來(lái)，收到了良好效果。通過(guò)“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)的深入開(kāi)展，出現(xiàn)了許多令人欣慰的現(xiàn)象：愛(ài)讀書(shū)、讀好書(shū)的人多了，學(xué)英模、爭(zhēng)先進(jìn)的人多了，積極向上、要求進(jìn)步的人多了，關(guān)心集體、助人為樂(lè)的人多了，社會(huì)正氣不斷上升，歪風(fēng)邪氣遭到唾棄。由于全社會(huì)的積極參與，使我區(qū)“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)形成了很好的氛圍。如：xx一小的王xx校長(zhǎng)大力支持“中華魂”讀書(shū)工作，他提出“讀好書(shū)，做好人，培育好孩子”的口號(hào)，倡議家長(zhǎng)和老師“踐行美德，認(rèn)真組織，積極開(kāi)展讀書(shū)活動(dòng)”，該校購(gòu)書(shū)量具全區(qū)各小學(xué)校第一名，參加演講孩子最多，該校三三班的平xx同學(xué)榮獲xx市特等獎(jiǎng)，我區(qū)表彰的12名讀書(shū)好少年中該校就有兩名同學(xué)榮獲殊榮；東方三小的候xx校長(zhǎng)，把讀書(shū)活動(dòng)與教育教學(xué)緊密結(jié)合，發(fā)揮少先隊(duì)作用，發(fā)揮家長(zhǎng)委員會(huì)作用，在全校大力宣傳“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的意義，動(dòng)員全校學(xué)生積極參與讀書(shū)，得到大家的一致響應(yīng)，該校參加讀書(shū)征文的同學(xué)最多，獲獎(jiǎng)人數(shù)名列前茅；天津路小學(xué)的王xx校長(zhǎng)親自抓，親自布置，把讀書(shū)活動(dòng)納入德育工作考核，從管理上規(guī)范，從制度上激勵(lì)，該校的李xx同學(xué)通過(guò)讀書(shū)參加演講比賽，自身發(fā)生了很大的變化，不但是一名品學(xué)兼優(yōu)的好學(xué)生，更是孝心美德好少年，李xx的父親說(shuō)：“中華魂讀書(shū)活動(dòng)是可以種植正能量的善舉，孩子的心境有了超越的發(fā)展是最有價(jià)值的工作，感謝關(guān)工委的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)和天小的老師。”xx一小的譚xx校長(zhǎng)發(fā)動(dòng)全校師生，創(chuàng)新開(kāi)展了“弘揚(yáng)美德，振興中華”活動(dòng)，學(xué)校成立了以校長(zhǎng)為第一責(zé)任人的讀書(shū)活動(dòng)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)小組，全校2500名少先隊(duì)員全部參加讀書(shū)活動(dòng)，還帶動(dòng)全校的學(xué)生家長(zhǎng)與孩子一起讀書(shū)，該學(xué)校學(xué)生演講、征文比賽獲獎(jiǎng)率最高，教師榮獲輔導(dǎo)獎(jiǎng)的比例最高；中信小學(xué)的張xx校長(zhǎng)把實(shí)現(xiàn)中國(guó)夢(mèng)教育和“中華魂”讀書(shū)相結(jié)合，積極與關(guān)工委聯(lián)系，組織師生積極踐行中華美德，開(kāi)展豐富多彩的校園活動(dòng)，是學(xué)生們的品質(zhì)修養(yǎng)有了很大的提升；英語(yǔ)學(xué)校的姚xx校長(zhǎng)把“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)與“道德銀行”存儲(chǔ)活動(dòng)相結(jié)合，與英語(yǔ)教學(xué)相結(jié)合，在全校開(kāi)展了“美德在我校園，傳承從我做起”的教育活動(dòng)，全校涌現(xiàn)出了一大批學(xué)雷鋒好少年和讀書(shū)小標(biāo)兵；xx二小的耿xx校長(zhǎng)把書(shū)香校園作為學(xué)校的品牌來(lái)抓，把“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)提升到建設(shè)書(shū)香校園的高度，領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的重視、教師的投入、家長(zhǎng)的認(rèn)可和學(xué)生的積極參與，確保了讀書(shū)效果明顯，該校的兩名學(xué)生榮獲區(qū)級(jí)“中華魂”讀書(shū)好少年；東升二小的毛曉娟校長(zhǎng)大力支持讀書(shū)活動(dòng)，充分發(fā)揮學(xué)生參與讀書(shū)的積極性，重點(diǎn)培養(yǎng)好苗子，該校的王xx同學(xué)榮獲xx區(qū)“中華魂”讀書(shū)好少年稱(chēng)號(hào)；實(shí)驗(yàn)小學(xué)的馬xx校長(zhǎng)親自組織學(xué)校的演講初賽，發(fā)動(dòng)教師發(fā)現(xiàn)人才、培養(yǎng)人才，積極為孩子們進(jìn)行全方位的指導(dǎo)和培訓(xùn)；xx路小學(xué)的張xx校長(zhǎng)帶頭讀書(shū)感動(dòng)了全校的師生；xx實(shí)驗(yàn)小學(xué)的張xx校長(zhǎng)把“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)與該校的“責(zé)任教育”緊密結(jié)合，在學(xué)校開(kāi)展了豐富多彩的讀書(shū)活動(dòng)，他們學(xué)校的宋xx同學(xué)從三年級(jí)就積極參加“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)，通過(guò)讀書(shū)她決心當(dāng)一名有奉獻(xiàn)精神的好孩子，她報(bào)名到洛陽(yáng)博物館當(dāng)上了一名小志愿者，不怕困難、風(fēng)雨無(wú)阻的到博物館為參觀者義務(wù)服務(wù)，在當(dāng)志愿的三年里她受到過(guò)委屈，面對(duì)過(guò)困難，但是她都以“中華魂”讀本里先進(jìn)人物的精神激勵(lì)自己，鞭策自己，成為了洛陽(yáng)博物館里最漂亮、能力最強(qiáng)、全市第一名可以通講珍寶館文物的小志愿講解員。經(jīng)過(guò)層層選拔、比賽，宋xx同學(xué)一舉獲得了xx市“中華魂”演講決賽“十佳標(biāo)兵”。在這里特別要提出表?yè)P(yáng)的是xx路小學(xué)和xx西路小學(xué)的王xx、張xx兩位校長(zhǎng)，他們對(duì)“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的認(rèn)識(shí)很到位，參與活動(dòng)的積極性很高，組織很得力，雖然他們訂書(shū)的數(shù)量不能與大學(xué)校相比，但是，按照他們學(xué)校生源的家庭條件和在校學(xué)生數(shù)量，完成讀本征訂任務(wù)的比例達(dá)到xx%。今年，這兩所學(xué)校獲得xx區(qū)“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)優(yōu)秀組織獎(jiǎng)是當(dāng)之無(wú)愧的。

各辦事處關(guān)工委運(yùn)用“學(xué)校放假，社區(qū)開(kāi)學(xué)”平臺(tái)，發(fā)揮“五老”優(yōu)勢(shì)，采取各種形式，在社區(qū)開(kāi)展了豐富多彩的讀書(shū)活動(dòng)。長(zhǎng)安路辦事處關(guān)工委執(zhí)行主任姚學(xué)君發(fā)揮自己是教師的特長(zhǎng)，組織孩子們寫(xiě)心得、寫(xiě)演講稿、才藝表演、演講比賽，孩子們?cè)诨顒?dòng)中展示了才能、鍛煉了能力、收獲了成功，度過(guò)了有意義的假期。湖北辦、武漢辦、鄭州辦、徐家營(yíng)積極組織孩子讀書(shū)與活動(dòng)相結(jié)合，采取走進(jìn)社區(qū)做好事，踐行美德育品質(zhì)的方式開(kāi)展社區(qū)“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)。重慶辦、長(zhǎng)春辦、珠江辦、南昌辦、工農(nóng)辦、周山辦、天津辦與學(xué)校結(jié)合、與轄區(qū)單位結(jié)合、與教育陣地結(jié)合組織學(xué)生進(jìn)部隊(duì)、進(jìn)工廠、參觀焦裕祿、楊奎烈等先進(jìn)人物展覽館，把中華美德讀書(shū)與身邊的先進(jìn)人物精神直觀的結(jié)合在一起，起到了很好的教育作用。

（三）讀書(shū)活動(dòng)掀起

一是各小學(xué)校將《中華美德頌》讀本納入在校學(xué)生讀書(shū)計(jì)劃，并配合社區(qū)開(kāi)展活動(dòng)，使同學(xué)們?cè)谧x書(shū)教育的活動(dòng)中學(xué)習(xí)知識(shí)、感悟真理、激發(fā)愛(ài)黨、愛(ài)國(guó)的高尚情操，增強(qiáng)團(tuán)結(jié)向上的意識(shí)，弘揚(yáng)拼搏奮斗的精神，樹(shù)立為國(guó)家振興而努力奮斗的遠(yuǎn)大理想。二是組織在校學(xué)生除完成讀本學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容外，積極參加班級(jí)讀書(shū)演講、年級(jí)讀書(shū)演講、學(xué)校讀書(shū)演講比賽活動(dòng)，逐級(jí)選拔出參加全區(qū)讀書(shū)演講大賽的選手。三是在校學(xué)生積極參加撰寫(xiě)“中華魂”讀書(shū)征文活動(dòng)，展示學(xué)生和學(xué)校的讀書(shū)成果。四是通過(guò)學(xué)生讀書(shū)互動(dòng)形式，陶冶情操、磨練意志、啟迪智慧、提升素養(yǎng)、修煉志趣。從而引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們牢記黨的重托、牢記人民的期望，成長(zhǎng)為中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義的合格接班人。五是全區(qū)“五老”隊(duì)伍人員結(jié)合下基層、下社區(qū)、下學(xué)校，積極配合、督察檢查各學(xué)校、各社區(qū)的“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)。利用講座、社會(huì)實(shí)踐等方式，結(jié)合自己的親身經(jīng)歷，講改革開(kāi)放取得的偉大成就，為孩子們搭建社會(huì)實(shí)踐的平臺(tái)，積極帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生在實(shí)踐中體會(huì)樹(shù)立遠(yuǎn)大理想的重要性，使廣大青少年樹(shù)立了正確人生觀和價(jià)值觀。

同志們：“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)，是由中關(guān)工委和教育部關(guān)工委共同發(fā)起和開(kāi)展的，以青少年思想道德建設(shè)為主線，每年都有一個(gè)緊扣時(shí)代脈搏的主題，并編寫(xiě)了具有鮮明思想性的活動(dòng)用書(shū)，非常適合青少年的特點(diǎn)。我區(qū)開(kāi)展讀書(shū)活動(dòng)20年的實(shí)踐，已經(jīng)牢固搭建起了“老少共讀一本書(shū)”的教育平臺(tái)，使“一老一少”在讀書(shū)中實(shí)現(xiàn)雙受益、雙提高、雙發(fā)展，受到了社會(huì)各界的歡迎和認(rèn)同，得到了區(qū)委、區(qū)政府的肯定和支持。我們深深體會(huì)到：緊扣時(shí)代主題，堅(jiān)持讀書(shū)育人，是推動(dòng)“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)健康持續(xù)發(fā)展的根本；黨委政府高度重視，關(guān)工委精心組織，有關(guān)部門(mén)團(tuán)結(jié)協(xié)作，是“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)做實(shí)做好的保證；求真務(wù)實(shí)，創(chuàng)新方法，貼近青少年，是“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)取得實(shí)效的關(guān)鍵；充分發(fā)揮關(guān)工委、老同志的優(yōu)勢(shì)和作用，是提高“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)質(zhì)量的基礎(chǔ)。

目前，我區(qū)“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)，雖然取得了一定成績(jī)，積累了一些經(jīng)驗(yàn)，但和全市其他先進(jìn)縣區(qū)相比，還有不少的差距。就我區(qū)來(lái)講，活動(dòng)開(kāi)展的還不夠平衡，覆蓋面還不夠廣泛等等。希望通過(guò)今天的會(huì)議，同志們進(jìn)一步提高認(rèn)識(shí)，總結(jié)經(jīng)驗(yàn)，鞏固成績(jī)，解決難題，使全區(qū)的“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)取得更大成績(jī)。

二、XX年我區(qū)“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的基本要求

根據(jù)中國(guó)關(guān)工委、教育部關(guān)工委《關(guān)于XX年開(kāi)展全國(guó)青少年“中華魂”（放飛夢(mèng)想）主題教育活動(dòng)的通知》（中關(guān)工委〔XX〕18號(hào)文件）的要求，今年的內(nèi)容是“放飛夢(mèng)想”。各級(jí)關(guān)工委要進(jìn)一步提高認(rèn)識(shí)，突出“中國(guó)夢(mèng)”這一主題，發(fā)揮“五老”優(yōu)勢(shì)，創(chuàng)新工作思路，拓寬活動(dòng)載體，堅(jiān)持典型示范，加強(qiáng)組織領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，推動(dòng)“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)向縱深發(fā)展，把這項(xiàng)活動(dòng)打造成引導(dǎo)青少年健康成長(zhǎng)的知名品牌，成為青少年進(jìn)行社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀教育的有效載體。

社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值體系教育是愛(ài)國(guó)主義教育的核心，是“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的“魂”，是青少年思想道德建設(shè)的“根”。我們要牢牢抓住這個(gè)“魂”和“根”，把握方向，創(chuàng)新載體。按照中央的部署和省市關(guān)工委的要求，把我區(qū)今年“中華魂”（放飛夢(mèng)想）主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)抓出成效。

（一）提高認(rèn)識(shí)，積極工作

1、各級(jí)關(guān)工委都要站在講政治的高度，進(jìn)一步提高對(duì)開(kāi)展“中華魂”主題教育活動(dòng)重要意義的認(rèn)識(shí)。緊緊抓住“中國(guó)夢(mèng)”這一主題，充分發(fā)揮“五老”的獨(dú)特優(yōu)勢(shì)，通過(guò)“老少共讀一本書(shū)”、“老少共話中國(guó)夢(mèng)”等形式，舉辦主題報(bào)告會(huì)、師生座談會(huì)、雙語(yǔ)演講競(jìng)賽，幫助廣大青少年深刻理解和準(zhǔn)確把握中國(guó)夢(mèng)的重要內(nèi)涵，在青少年中播種夢(mèng)想、點(diǎn)燃?jí)粝耄龑?dǎo)青少年敢于有夢(mèng)、勇于追夢(mèng)、勤于圓夢(mèng)，把實(shí)現(xiàn)中國(guó)夢(mèng)的滿腔熱情轉(zhuǎn)化為刻苦學(xué)習(xí)、勤奮工作、報(bào)效祖國(guó)的實(shí)際行動(dòng)。通過(guò)在全區(qū)開(kāi)展“中華魂”讀書(shū)征文和演講競(jìng)賽活動(dòng)，建立“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)激勵(lì)機(jī)制，形成學(xué)校、家庭、社會(huì)“三位一體”相互聯(lián)動(dòng)的讀書(shū)熱潮，匯集澗西區(qū)“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)成果，總結(jié)提升讀書(shū)活動(dòng)效能，促進(jìn)全區(qū)性“中華魂”讀書(shū)活動(dòng)廣泛深入持久地開(kāi)展，增強(qiáng)青少年為實(shí)現(xiàn)偉大的中國(guó)夢(mèng)而努力學(xué)習(xí)、奮力拼搏的高尚情操，為培育和踐行社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀積極工作，為我國(guó)社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)做出應(yīng)有的貢獻(xiàn)。

2、使命和責(zé)任需要讀書(shū)。青少年強(qiáng)則國(guó)強(qiáng)。青少年如何才能強(qiáng)？讀書(shū)、學(xué)文化、學(xué)知識(shí)，才能使自己強(qiáng)起來(lái)，才能更好地服務(wù)社會(huì)、報(bào)效祖國(guó)。在全社會(huì)，特別是在青少年中營(yíng)造努力讀書(shū)的氛圍，是進(jìn)一步加強(qiáng)和改進(jìn)青少年思想道德建設(shè)，培育和踐行社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀，提高全民族文化素質(zhì)的迫切要求。

3、形勢(shì)和任務(wù)要求讀書(shū)。改革開(kāi)放以來(lái)，面對(duì)西方敵對(duì)勢(shì)力加緊對(duì)我國(guó)實(shí)行西化、分化、和平演變的圖謀，面對(duì)經(jīng)濟(jì)體制深刻變革、社會(huì)結(jié)構(gòu)深刻變動(dòng)、利益格局深刻調(diào)整、思想觀念深刻變化給青少年德育教育工作帶來(lái)的挑戰(zhàn)，進(jìn)一步研究探索、加強(qiáng)培育和踐行社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀教育勢(shì)在必行。價(jià)值觀教育的基礎(chǔ)是讀書(shū)，是明理，是勵(lì)志，是修身。只有讀書(shū)，才能明理，只有勵(lì)志，才能修身，所以，我們必須從娃娃抓起，從讀書(shū)抓起。

4、下大力抓好青少年讀書(shū)活動(dòng)。“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)，必須采取學(xué)校、家庭和社區(qū)相結(jié)合的方式組織學(xué)生開(kāi)展讀書(shū)活動(dòng)。通過(guò)讀書(shū)、征文、演講、歌詠、參觀和社會(huì)實(shí)踐等一系列豐富多彩的活動(dòng)，唱響主旋律，有機(jī)地將主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)融入培育和踐行社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀教育工作的整體布局，適時(shí)、適宜的與精神文明教育結(jié)合起來(lái)，與和諧社會(huì)建設(shè)結(jié)合起來(lái)，與學(xué)校等部門(mén)的德育工作結(jié)合起來(lái)，與學(xué)科教學(xué)工作結(jié)合起來(lái)，與少先隊(duì)、共青團(tuán)工作結(jié)合起來(lái)，與培養(yǎng)青少年的創(chuàng)新與實(shí)踐能力結(jié)合起來(lái)。使青少年寓教于讀、寓教于學(xué)、寓教于行、寓教于樂(lè)；使主題教育更加貼近時(shí)代脈搏，貼近青少年的思想、生活和實(shí)際，推動(dòng)讀書(shū)活動(dòng)向縱深發(fā)展。因此，必須下大力抓好“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)，并將此打造成為引導(dǎo)青少年健康成長(zhǎng)的有效載體。

（二）加強(qiáng)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，積極組織

無(wú)論做什么事，重要在認(rèn)識(shí)，關(guān)鍵在領(lǐng)導(dǎo)。各級(jí)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)和關(guān)工委一定要高度重視“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)，切實(shí)加強(qiáng)組織領(lǐng)導(dǎo)。一是認(rèn)真落實(shí)區(qū)關(guān)工委、文明辦、教育局聯(lián)合下發(fā)的《關(guān)于在全區(qū)青少年中深入開(kāi)展“中華魂”主題教育（放飛夢(mèng)想）讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的安排意見(jiàn)》（x關(guān)工XX【3】號(hào)），結(jié)合實(shí)際搞好讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的組織計(jì)劃。做到層層有安排，工作有計(jì)劃，事事有落實(shí)。二是解決好小學(xué)生讀本問(wèn)題。以教育局為主，制定出小學(xué)生讀書(shū)活動(dòng)讀本征訂保障計(jì)劃。全區(qū)各成員單位都要獻(xiàn)出一份愛(ài)心，為孩子們積極捐贈(zèng)讀本，是更多的孩子有書(shū)讀。三是堅(jiān)持以學(xué)校為主，社區(qū)、家庭聯(lián)動(dòng)配合，落實(shí)讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的人員、時(shí)間、內(nèi)容和效果。四是繼續(xù)抓好、抓實(shí)讀書(shū)演講和征文比賽活動(dòng)。五是各辦事處、社區(qū)，教育局、學(xué)校關(guān)工委要以此為契機(jī)，以主題教育活動(dòng)為載體，充分發(fā)揮老同志的獨(dú)特優(yōu)勢(shì)，配合學(xué)校深入開(kāi)展各類(lèi)教育活動(dòng)。通過(guò)活動(dòng)，培育青少年社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀，幫助青少年踐行社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀，讓他們具有振興中華的精神支柱和精神動(dòng)力，只有在全社會(huì)形成培育和踐行社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀的氛圍，引導(dǎo)青少年樹(shù)立正確的世界觀、人生觀、價(jià)值觀、榮辱觀和崇高的社會(huì)責(zé)任感，時(shí)刻準(zhǔn)備承擔(dān)實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興的歷史使命，才能推進(jìn)中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義事業(yè)不斷前進(jìn)，實(shí)現(xiàn)偉大的中國(guó)夢(mèng)。

（三）總結(jié)經(jīng)驗(yàn)，創(chuàng)新實(shí)踐

“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)，是關(guān)心下一代工作的重要內(nèi)容。因此，要不斷總結(jié)經(jīng)驗(yàn)，不斷改進(jìn)方法，不斷提升讀書(shū)活動(dòng)效果。今年，洛陽(yáng)新東方學(xué)校為澗西區(qū)的孩子們奉獻(xiàn)愛(ài)心，他們不但為孩子們捐贈(zèng)購(gòu)書(shū)善款，還將派出志愿者老師，把《放飛夢(mèng)想》讀本的部分篇章翻譯成英文，深入到全區(qū)各個(gè)學(xué)校為孩子們進(jìn)行“中華魂”（放飛夢(mèng)想）英語(yǔ)演講培訓(xùn)和中英文征文寫(xiě)作培訓(xùn)。用中英雙語(yǔ)歌頌實(shí)現(xiàn)中國(guó)夢(mèng)的偉大理想，不但能增強(qiáng)孩子們的自信心，更是為孩子們提供了提高學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)興趣的平臺(tái)，在全市我們的作法是一個(gè)創(chuàng)新。今年，我們將進(jìn)行“中華魂”雙語(yǔ)演講和征文大賽，評(píng)選出100名雙語(yǔ)演講決賽選手。在“中華魂”雙語(yǔ)讀書(shū)活動(dòng)工作中，我們要求：一是強(qiáng)調(diào)教育局要及時(shí)布置教育局關(guān)工委搞好系統(tǒng)組織、系統(tǒng)協(xié)調(diào)、系統(tǒng)聯(lián)動(dòng)和系統(tǒng)落實(shí)工作。督促學(xué)校做好讀本征訂工作，按照要求完成任務(wù)。二是強(qiáng)調(diào)學(xué)校在雙語(yǔ)讀書(shū)演講征文培訓(xùn)工作中，學(xué)校關(guān)工委主任（校長(zhǎng)）和主抓關(guān)工委工作的副校長(zhǎng)、關(guān)工委副主任（即少先大隊(duì)輔導(dǎo)員）要切實(shí)負(fù)起責(zé)任，與新東方學(xué)校派出的志愿者老師密切配合，協(xié)調(diào)好時(shí)間安排、學(xué)生組織和學(xué)校的初賽工作，推薦選拔更多的學(xué)生參加初賽和復(fù)賽。三是強(qiáng)調(diào)學(xué)校、家庭和社區(qū)聯(lián)學(xué)聯(lián)動(dòng)。學(xué)生的讀書(shū)活動(dòng)不僅是學(xué)校的事，而且是社區(qū)和家庭的事；不僅是學(xué)生自己的事，而且是全社會(huì)的事。必須搞好三方聯(lián)動(dòng)，必須加強(qiáng)協(xié)調(diào)和指導(dǎo)。各級(jí)關(guān)工委要將學(xué)生讀書(shū)活動(dòng)作為關(guān)心下一代工作的重點(diǎn)，作為重要工作之一，作為校內(nèi)教育和校外教育的共同任務(wù)。四是強(qiáng)調(diào)“五個(gè)結(jié)合”，體現(xiàn)“五個(gè)作用”。即：把讀書(shū)活動(dòng)和黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)社會(huì)建設(shè)所取得的偉大成就結(jié)合起來(lái)，發(fā)揮社會(huì)對(duì)比和社會(huì)巨變的育人作用；把讀書(shū)活動(dòng)和“學(xué)雷鋒”活動(dòng)結(jié)合起來(lái)，發(fā)揮學(xué)校德育教育主渠道的育人作用；把讀書(shū)活動(dòng)和青少年喜聞樂(lè)見(jiàn)的形式結(jié)合起來(lái)，發(fā)揮課外教育的育人作用；把讀書(shū)活動(dòng)和“學(xué)雷鋒”實(shí)踐結(jié)合起來(lái)，發(fā)揮學(xué)生從我做起的育人作用；把學(xué)和用結(jié)合起來(lái)，發(fā)揮“道德銀行”存儲(chǔ)活動(dòng)的育人作用。五是強(qiáng)調(diào)學(xué)生讀書(shū)活動(dòng)實(shí)現(xiàn)“六個(gè)促進(jìn)”，使“中華魂”主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)促進(jìn)創(chuàng)建“三無(wú)兩有一關(guān)愛(ài)”先進(jìn)社區(qū)建設(shè)；促進(jìn)“學(xué)雷鋒、心向黨、見(jiàn)行動(dòng)、爭(zhēng)當(dāng)金色青少年”活動(dòng)的深入開(kāi)展；促進(jìn)預(yù)防和減少青少年犯罪；促進(jìn)校外教育的各類(lèi)社會(huì)活動(dòng)，促進(jìn)“道德銀行”存儲(chǔ)活動(dòng)的開(kāi)展；促進(jìn)青少年良好習(xí)慣的養(yǎng)成。

（四）樹(shù)立榜樣，典型引路。

要結(jié)合“中華魂”（放飛夢(mèng)想）主題教育讀書(shū)活動(dòng)，積極發(fā)現(xiàn)、培育、樹(shù)立、推廣先進(jìn)典型。要擴(kuò)大對(duì)多讀多思、以讀促教活動(dòng)中取得明顯成績(jī)的老師、輔導(dǎo)員、學(xué)生進(jìn)行表彰獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)。充分發(fā)揮典型的示范、帶動(dòng)作用，促進(jìn)讀書(shū)活動(dòng)的深入、持久、健康開(kāi)展。一是各級(jí)關(guān)工委要確立抓典型的意識(shí)。要注意發(fā)現(xiàn)典型、培育典型，做好典型引路。二是要有抓典型的方法。依照各自所管轄的范圍，做到班有班的典型，年級(jí)有年級(jí)的典型，學(xué)校有學(xué)校的典型，社區(qū)有典型，教育局和鄉(xiāng)、辦事處都有自己的典型。三是要及時(shí)樹(shù)立先進(jìn)典型。樹(shù)立先進(jìn)典型要注意及時(shí)、適當(dāng)、準(zhǔn)確。今年，區(qū)關(guān)工委要結(jié)合工作情況，大力表彰一批先進(jìn)單位和先進(jìn)個(gè)人，以更好地推動(dòng)各項(xiàng)工作的順利開(kāi)展。
